dc.description.abstractEven being the main modal in Brazil, road transport through highways suffers from the issue of the restricted network of paved roads and its state of conservation. Moreover, a significant amount of unserviceable tires are generated on a daily basis, and this is an environmental problem with regard to their destination. At this point, one of the alternatives for the destination of unserviceable tires is their incorporation into the asphalt concrete through the dry process in order to improve their properties. Thus, this work seeks to contribute to the dry process technique, which is more accessible and there are fewer studies, analyzing specimens with replacement of stone dust by rubber tire dust (at a dosage of 2%) in asphalt mixtures with different levels of asphalt binder (6.5; 7 and 7.5%) through Marshall tests. In addition, reference test bodies (without rubber incorporation, but with different asphalt binder contents) were also analyzed. The results showed that in the reference test bodies, all showed Marshall stability values above the minimum values of the standard, however, the incorporation of 2% of rubber powder from tires combined with the analyzed dosages, did not present satisfactory results in the Marshall test, in view of the low adherence between the binder and the rubber in the dry process.
