dc.description.abstract | The utilization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Aerophotogrammetry aplications is na alternative to reduce costs in surveying large áreas, especially when compared to conventional aerophotogrametry and other indirect methods. This paper aims to address the methodology of obtaining Digital Elevation Models and orthophotos from aerial images, obtained by low cost Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, equipped with amateur or semi-professional photographic equipment. In this study were generated and analyzed two Digital Elevation Models, one being referenced by ground control points, and other referenced by data from the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle embebbed GPS sensor. The Digital Elevation Models generated showed good quality for use in civil engineering, making possible to measure distances, areas and volumes, even without the use of any equipment on the land to be surveyed. It was also possible to geotag correctly one of the models, using ground control points with known coordinates, obtained by conventional surveying equipment, resulting in a high quality Digital Elevation Model. | |
