Princípios da produção enxuta: um estudo de caso para avaliação dos desperdícios no processo produtivo e melhorias no layout em uma indústria de vidros

Abstract

Lean production is a production system well known in large organizations, but little used in small and medium enterprises which can be explained by the lack of the system by managers and by the difficulty of implementing some suggested improvements from the process evaluation. However, the use of the concepts of lean manufacturing to assess production processes emerges as a way to find waste and identify opportunities for improvement that are usually difficult to visualize. This study aimed to evaluate the production process of a processing industry and tempering glass located in western Paraná based on the principles of lean production. From the assessment of the productive process and the current layout analysis has been possible to propose a new layout to reduce waste transportation and inventory between processes identified during the assessment process. The proposed layout was drawn from an adaptation of the methodology consisted in bringing SLP (Systematic Layout Planning) and equipment that were used less distant as well as the approach of the most used equipment in accordance with the order of the processes to facilitate the production sequence.
