dc.description.abstractThis research presents a theoretical and methodological approach guided in the Histórico-Cultural Theory of Learning and Historical-Critical Pedagogy.Of a qualitative nature, under the bias of action-research, aims at investigating the learning process of the formation of scientific concepts about epidemic diseases, considering the social practice of the subjects involved in the process. The study has eight students of elementary school II(seventh year), of a public school in Londrina/PR. It has as object of investigation the mediated activity of the teacher-researcher. For the study, it was built an educational product, organized as an Interactive Didactic Sequence Interactive (IDS), following the five steps set by Gasparin (2012). The IDS contains various activities and instruments that allows identify, understand and apply the scientific concepts of dialogic form. Among them, are highlighted the filmic video, problem solving activities, Podcast and or teaching support materials to maintain the communication between the students and the teacher and those with content, such as portfolio and WhatsApp application, these instruments allowed teaching mediation work in the development of group work, in the constant application of signs and continuous reflection on the subject studied. The research was conducted for thirteen meetings, in the period of extracurricular activities, during 2015. To read the data was used the technique of Content Analysis, by Laurence Bardin (2011), and the Histórico-Cultural Theory of Learning, by Vygotsky. The investigation results indicate that the IDS educational product had its goals achieved in view of the teaching mediation, on act on the potential level of development of students, leading instruments and signs, since its educational planning to the execution of activities, allowing students to identify, define and employ the scientific concepts, culminating with the internalization of them.It is concluded that the Histórico-Cultural practice Learning provides apprehension of scientific concepts by promoting understanding of the reality studied, and that the use of interactive didactic sequence allows the historical and cultural knowledge to be made possible, making the content contextualized, thus, contributing also for the formation of scientific concepts.
