Design de produto fisioterapêutico para auxílio ao tratamento oncológico infantil

Abstract

This research intends to present the result of final work of Design Bachelor's degree of Federal Technological University of Paraná. The project had as goal develop a product to assist the practice of physiotherapy – having as direct beneficiaries public children between 4 to 6 years old who have been subjected to catheter deployment surgery in the treatment of cancer. Through documentary and field research, investigated the main movements performed during the physiotherapy, as well as the main difficulties encountered in implementing these activities by the public beneficiary. These observations were carried out in order to develop, from a design methodology, a playful, interactive and efficient product for physiotherapeutic activity, which helps in the recovery of children in cancer treatment. The main main theoretical axes refer to areas like childhood cancer, oncology and general physiotherapy, psychological and psychomotor aspects of the beneficiaries public, playfulness in the hospital and during the physiotherapy and issues related to the design like interaction design, social, cultural, environmental and ergonomics. The result was a multifunctional product indicated to children affected by cancer.
