The proposed system has the purpose of enabling the remote and portable monitoring of two out of four basic vital signs: heart rate and body temperature, besides oxygen saturation and body position of the person under surveillance. Due to the complexity for early detection of clinical and physiological deterioration of patients when the capture of the parameters above is made manually, over great time periods, usually in hours. In this system, designed by using concepts of Internet of Things, the time range between acquisitions declines dramatically, to minutes, allowing faster resolutions of care takers and health team.
