Abstract

In the context of today's society, where excessive consumption is part of day-to-day and the disposability of products is enhanced, the problem of the accumulation of waste has become a serious problem. Finding ways to manage correctly these spoils, so they do not contaminate the environment and dissipate contaminants in cities is a challenge for governments, seeking to build effective policies in this direction. This is the case of the adoption of PPRA - Program for Prevention of Environmental Risks and PCMSO - Program for Medical Control of Occupational Health, these programs aim to find solutions to waste and prevent exposure of this segment worker to unnecessary risks that could harm their health. The present study attempts to conceptualize the problem of municipal solid waste, citing the laws that govern your disposal, verifying the performance of the collectors and the dangers and risks that permeate their profession. Your goal is to highlight the importance of the use of PPE in the collection of municipal waste, through a vision of literature proper motions of the study.
