This study aims to investigate the presence of ludic and affection in English-language teaching-learning with three years old children, in a kindergarten school, located in the city of Pato Branco/PR. The classes were audio and video recorded and in sequence excerpts pertinent to the theme of the research were selected and transcribed for the study. The analyses were developed according to studies by Tonelli (2005), Rocha (2007) in relation to teaching-learning English Language for children; Moyles (2002), Cristovão and Gamero (2009), Vigotski (2010) and Figueira (2010), in relation the ludic and affection. The results achieved show that the ludic and affection happen together, providing much more than fun, in the other words, also favoring the children’s affective, social and cognitive development.
