dc.description.abstract | The glass skin type facades have been widely applied in architectural projects mainly commercial buildings, choice made as an alternative in the search for technical solutions, aesthetic, economic and environmental. Despite higher costs, the execution of glass facades is faster because it is an industrialized system, the number of people for labor is reduced and also helps to reduce the generation of waste and waste materials in work, compared to other conventional closure such as masonry. The higher the glass area, the greater is the transmission of solar radiation through the glass, requiring air conditioning application if no specific treatment on the facade. Subject matter in this work, stressing the importance of good planning and the right choice of materials and techniques construction according to the project. The study presents an approach on how you can achieve greater energy efficiency in buildings using glass facade and external coating by means of technologies for building facades, glass types, software for study of insolation and natural lighting, an important ally in implementation project stage and stabs guidance according to geolocation. | |
