dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a theoretical and conceptual approach of Artificial Neural Networks as a tool to aid in the Engineering Evaluations. Presents a brief history and key concepts of this model of Artificial Intelligence, as well as their advantages and limitations. It also discusses the issue of Linear Regression to serve as a baseline for the application of neural network models in the case study, where it will be an assessment of property either by linear regression as well as by neural networks, which might have an idea how this method can be an important application in engineering.
