dc.description.abstract | In this work was developed an onboard computer system for automobiles, through the data and information about the equipments and instruments used in automobiles, which is an integrated system including the main instruments of an automobile, with quick refresh rates and correction of the information, when applicable. In the developed system are present the following instruments: speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel-volume indicator, fuel-economy and fuel-autonomy indicators. The system introduces two pieces of equipment nonexistent in automobiles nowadays: a fuses monitor and an onboard dynamometer. It introduces a human-machine interface for local configuration and the option of external communication between the onboard computer and a conventional PC. This work results in a low-cost equipment which can be used by automobiles owners, motoring professionals and amateurs. | |
