dc.description.abstractIndustry 4.0 (I4.0) is increasingly present in the academic and industrial environment, however, there are still barriers and difficulties for its implementation. Technology Transfer (TT) plays an important role as a facilitator in the digital transformation process and is directly linked to the importance of increasing the knowledge base in I4.0 technologies. In this sense, this thesis aimed to develop an Industry 4.0 maturity model, where Technology Transfer influences its maturity level, in order to facilitate its implementation. For this, firstly, a Conceptual Framework was carried out that presents the existing influence between TT and I4.0, developed from a vast literature review. To prove this framework, the I4.0-TT Maturity Model was developed. This model was performed using the DEMATEL multicriteria method, as it is based on the influence between the factors (I4.0 and TT) and their dimensions. The model was validated by applying it to seven companies located in Paraná. The results showed that there is really a mutual influence between these two factors. Still, it was possible to identify the influencing dimensions and the influenced dimensions. With this knowledge, it was possible to outline strategies for companies to raise their maturity level from I4.0. In this sense, the I4.0-TT Maturity Model made it possible to confirm that Technology Transfer influences Industry 4.0, and vice versa. TT can be seen as a strategy for the implementation of 4.0 concepts and technologies to occur more easily. Still, it is a tool that can be used in organizations to be able to analyze what stage the company is in, and what is necessary to evolve in level.
