Design centrado no ser humano (HCD): solidão, saúde mental e isolamento social

Abstract

The modern society undergoes a constant transformation and transition between different phases in the life, with new forms of information transmission and the increase of the urban speed, ordinary life entails some mental health problems, requiring a grounded study of its causes and consequences. Within the academic and university context, psychological and physical issues can be an aggravating disability, changing their relationships with the physical and social environment due to various sociocultural issues. The work aims to make a spatiotemporal cut for an analysis of student needs through the vision of Human Centered Design, a creative approach to research and analysis focused on the user’s understanding and desires and the practicality of the project. With the concepts of study focused on the user, usability, adaptability and comfort, together with the study of service design, the project was developed seek effective results in the transmission of the message to the user with solitary problems, with the support of some services and tools , aiming at a comfort and a stimulus of empathy within the university environment. The project aims at digital and accessible support, due to the social isolation that is caused by the context of the pandemic and by the mental illnesses, for this, an application called Nexo was developed, promoting interaction and connection between student communities and giving greater visibility to the social problem.
