Proposta de aplicação da metodologia RCM para aumentar a disponibilidade da autoclave hospitalar

Abstract

This paper proposes an application of Reliability Centered Maintenance ( RCM - Reliability Centered Maintenance ) , with the objective of optimizing maintenance actions seeking increased availability of autoclaves of a public hospital in the city of Curitiba - Pr. The autoclave is extremely importance in the hospital environment because almost all the material used in the institution have to be sterilized , especially in sectors such as: Operating Room , Intensive Care Unit (ICU ) , Emergency Room . As there was in the institution studied a preventive maintenance program and was practiced only to corrective maintenance. With the application of RCM maximize the availability of Autoclave getting above 97 % and lowered the cost of maintenance with savings of 80 % with maintenance costs in the first year.
