dc.description.abstractThis research was conducted with 8th grade students in the discipline of Sciences of the State College Raulino Short Coastal City of Columbus - PR. This study aimed to provide the conditions for students would create a scientific journal which plays a vital role in schools is a form of science communication that not only informs the public about science, but also contributes to the teaching of science, so that enable students to produce knowledge to develop their own communicative vehicle. The creation of a Scientific School Journal aims to overcome the low performance of students from the improvement in reading, writing, and stimulate oral expression and textual production. Targeting the right of everyone to information, seeks to bring reflections and updated discussions on science, technology and its relationship with society. The duty of the newspaper is to convey to readers new knowledge, which is linked to the right to life, health and well being of all. With the development of this work has been possible to offer an alternative to form critical receivers of information disseminated by the media, and provide the opportunity for contact with the science that is in everyday life.
