dc.description.abstract | This following study consists in the development of a software for the design of fourbar slider crank mechanisms. The software validation and testing have been modeled for mechanisms operating in two-stroke single cylinder internal combustion engines. The methodology addresses the kinetics and kinematics analysis for these mechanisms, the definition of forces acting on links and joints, and also the determination of stress states of the components. The design of these elements is based on the design theories for high cycle fatigue and other design analytical methods proposed by Norton, 2013 and Shigley, 2015. In order to develop the software, functions for each mechanism component were applied and tested separately. Finally, it allows the user to use the functions altogether or independently. | |
