dc.description.abstractNowadays, due to the great competition to stay in the market, it is necessary that productivity is combined with cost reduction, such as the reduction of lost parts during the process. In order to avoid this waste, it is necessary to have equipment suitable for the processes. This study was based on the necessity found in a calender, sheet metal forming equipment. To this end, a belt has been resized to transmit the torque from the motor to the rollers. The springs that support the upper roll have been resized to provide more security during the removal process of the already formed sheet. The results show that with belt resizing, the Super HC model is the most suitable, however, it is necessary to change the set of pulleys. After analyzing the springs for different materials and ends, the SAE 1085 square-ended material spring meets the need for the equipment.
