dc.description.abstractThis work had as objective to analyze how the diverse generations coexist in an organization in the conflicts. Additionally, discuss this multigenerational environment in the practices of People Management (GP). The methodology used is the bibliographic research, with the definition of concepts about the different generations and the characteristics that differentiate them, organizational behavior and organizational conflicts. After defining concepts, we sought an approach on the consequences and the management of generational conflicts, seeking ways to strengthen the practices in the administration of these conflicts for People Management, raising strategies to be used by management in the handling of conflicts and evaluating the perception of generation Y in the work environment, in the yearnings and interpersonal relations, through a qualitative research that is a method of scientific investigation that focuses on the subjective character of the analyzed object, studying its particularities and individual experiences. With the qualitative research, respondents are freer to point out their points of view on certain subjects that are related to the object of study. In qualitative research the answers are not objective, and the purpose is not to count quantities as a result, but rather to be able to understand the behavior of a certain target group. Typically, qualitative surveys are done with a small number of respondents. (GIL, 1999). The choice of qualitative research as a research methodology is done when the purpose of the study is to understand the reason for certain things, for which reason it was used. It is realized that it is possible to enjoy the talents of each generation and the importance of maintaining a harmonious climate for the development and growth of the organization, in accordance with GP practices.
