dc.description.abstract | The current moment requires companies to be more competitive and to compete in such a fierce market it is necessary that they seek improvements in their manufacturing processes, produce more with less, só that this differential reflects during the sales of their products. The differential to be sought is waste reduction, better prices, delivery capacity with the shortest possible time, quality that satisfies the customer and, consequently, increased profitability. In view of the scenario, the present study aimed to elaborate a proposal to optimize the machining process of the mirrors of WGM frames in the Heavy Machining section: through theoretical references that can provide technical guidance in the application of the themes of continuous improvement, Kaizen and Accounting of costs; describe the current manufacturing process of the mirrors of WGM frames and present a proposal to optimize the process by comparing process times and manufacturing costs. Methodologically, the research included bibliographic review, observation, brainstorming, in addition to being a descriptive and exploratory applied research with a qualitative approach. With the application of this proposal, the product process becomes leaner with 46,2% reduction in time and more economical, since the approximate reduction in the total cost of the operation calculated in 6 months considering the production volume presented is R$ 180.188,00. In view of the exposed results, it was concluded that with the proposal of optimization in the machining process of the mirrors of the WGM frames, there was a significant reduction in the manufacturing times, in the processing costs, besides having organized the production management of these components. In this way, it is possible to affirm that it becomes viable from a logistical, administrative and economic point of view, as the product process has become faster, cheaper and still under the administration of Heavy Machining, which is the area responsible for delivery. | |
