Aplicando parasitologia em uma escola rural na região sudoeste do paraná

Abstract

The parasites are configured as a serious problem of World Public Health, due to the high rates of infection, mostly in underdeveloped countries. This study are going to bring knowledge about the main parasitosis for students of the Casa Familiar Rural in São Jorge D'Oeste (PR). The survey was conducted during the school period of April and May of 2018. The target audience was composed of students from the high school joined in the rural school and by their parents. In order to contribute with the classes, the didactic and biological models of Leishmania, Taenia solium, Taenia saginata, Necator americanus and Ascaris lumbricoides were used as a teaching tool. It was opted for application of standardized questionnaires to parents and students to enable a better reading of the results, considering the environment which they live and the level of knowledge about the main characteristics of the parasites, between them, the prophylactic measures used as prevention of infections caused by parasites.
