dc.description.abstractThe present course conclusion paper describes how an educational action was carried out at Campo Conrado State School - Elementary School, located in Linha Conrado community, in the municipality of Dois Vizinhos PR. This action aimed the construction of a mandala garden with production of unconventional food plants (PANC's), medicinal plants, vegetables and condiments in a rural school. This research is classified as a qualitative, interpretative research, of the educational action type. The target audience of the research were students of the 6th grade of Campo Conrado State School. The research development took place in the following stages: cleaning of the space destined to the construction of the vegetable garden; classroom work with the students theoretically punctuating the concepts that were used in the practice of constructing the garden in the mandala format; PANC's theoretical approach and finally, the preparation of the beds and planting of the PANC's, medicinal plants and vegetables. The obtained results converge on a good performance by the students in the project development issue, they showed a lot of enthusiasm, because the project provided them with the opportunity to visualize in practice the application of the concepts approached and worked in class in the theoretical classes. However, I consider that the project was successful and that the students possibly had a good use in the assimilation of the contents worked in class and approached in practice, because based on my observations they demonstrated mastery in the development of the practice and were able to conclude all steps delegated to them.
