| dc.description.abstract | Eucalyptus is an exotic species introduced in Brazil in the early twentieth century, of rapid growth and with wide use. Can be used in furniture manufactur , building , paper, energy , essential oils , straining posts. In contact with soil, the eucalyptus wood is susceptible to attack by spoilage organisms and requires treatments that will provide protection against wood decay fungi and insects. The of Increased forest production in Brazil boosted new activities and possibilities for the use of wood products in various market sectors. The use of treated straining posts can be viable in the least work to replace those damaged and by of replacement longer time. To demonstrate the feasibility of the use of preservative treatments or untreated straining posts, it is important that research and economic analysis are conducted. Therefore the main objective of this paper is to evaluate the acquisition more economically viable in relation the straining posts of Eucalyptus sp., treated, untreated or treated in the property. This study was conducted at the Federal Technological University of Paraná - UTFPR campus Dois Vizinhos, located on the road to Good Hope, km 04. The size of the stakes analyzed in this study was the dimensions of 2.50 meters in height and 15 cm in diameter.
