dc.description.abstractSteel structures are increasingly being used on construction, so it is not difficult to find a situation where having insight about these elements is a welcomed knowledge as a professional working in the area. Then, the aim of this search is to evaluate the influence of the stiffness of the beam-to-column connections adopted for the structure in the global and local stability of buildings. It was also demonstrated how different components of a connection influence such stiffness and the feasibility of doing this study on the stiffness of the chosen connection for the design of steel structures.
