dc.description.abstract | Reading the narratives Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, written by J.K. Rowling, and Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, written by Rick Riordan, it can be noted that the narratives have some similarities, mainly in what refers to the main character. It may be noted that in both books, the writers have a teenager as the main character. These teenagers have special powers and have a mission to follow. With the unfolding of the stories, several other similarities are appearing. So, after making a discussion about Teen Literature, Narrative Elements, Comparative Literature and Intertextuality, this work analyzes the setting, the characters, the narrator and the actions of both stories, and lists the similar aspects between the two cited narratives. | |
