Water pumping stations consume on average 90% of the electricity of the entire water supply system (WSS). About 25% of electricity cost is due to the inefficiency of the pumping system. The reduction of this expense can be obtained by implementing measures that seek efficiency and which are related to the operation of the pumping system, such as reducing head losses, adapting to utility energy supply tariffs, among others. In this research, a study of a water system composed of a deep tubular well, a submerged pump set, a raw water pipeline and an upper supported reservoir was carried out. In this system, the dynamic operating levels of the well and the operating points of the motor pump set were verified. In addition, consumption curves were determined based on flow data and reservoir levels collected on-site and the facility's hydropower diagnosis was also developed. The study allowed us to conclude that the local consumption curve is similar to other Brazilian municipalities, with an increase in water consumption around 8 am, remaining high until 7:30 pm, when it decreases. It was also verified that the volume of the upper reservoir can be better utilized, as the unevenness considered in the operations requires many activations of themotor pump. Regarding the assessment of normalized energy consumption (NEC), the results allowed us to conclude that the pumping station can be improved.
