Agricultural workers are exposed to physical, chemical, ergonomic, psychosocial or biological risks. It has adverse consequences for the health of rural workers and can cause illness, injury or even death. In this context, the studies published in the scientific literature do not clearly present detailed analyzes on which the risk and each consequence may be associated, given that respiratory diseases were in more recent studies previously associated with chemical and biological risks, without any further investigation. Assuming the consequences of risks must be assessed and the effective cause investigated, this research aims to assess what are the factors of exposure to the most recurrent risks in rural working activities associated with the consequences. To achieve this goal, the criteria and alternatives were researched in the literature review. The AHP method was used to assign weights to the criteria, evaluated by specialists, while the PROMETHEE II method was used to rank the alternatives in order of priority. A sample of 30 rural workers was studied with an applying of these methods. The results showed that injuries are the ones that deserve more attention, this being the alternative that should have priority in the development of safety measures, followed by ophthalmologic problems and inflammations. Ergonomic risk was the one that was most associated with the emergence of the most relevant consequences such as: injuries, inflammation, and body pain, difficulty of working, burns and dizziness. Finally, it is suggested that other multi-criteria methods be used, as well as samples in other sectors be explored, replicating the application of this methodology.
