dc.description.abstractHelical springs are very versatile mechanical elements, for example, in only one car we can find these devices in suspension, to ensure passenger safety and comfort, door locks and even engine itself above valves to smooth the movement of components by reducing wear. This wide range of applications is also due to the wide variety of configurations that this device can present, and can withstand tensile, compression, twist, or bending efforts. The work in question elaborated the dimensioning of traction springs for specific application in a didactic vibration countertop for experiments. This process went through the definition of the initial considerations of the movement and from the characteristics required in the movement, the other parameters of the spring found were, uniting knowledge of the disciplines of Machinery elements and vibrations. After sizing, the spring study carried was out in relation to their resistance, and the safety coefficients relevant to the element were calculated. Finally, an experimental procedure made was for the study of movement on the didactic bench of vibrations.
