The use of different crop rotations combining different cycles, sowing dates and crop species is one of the main strategies that farmers have to maximize production per area ensuring the viability of its production system. In this context, the study aimed to evaluate the production of silage and grain of two corn hybrids (P1680YH and 30F53YH) as well as soybean yield grown as a second summer crop after the different uses of these corn hybrids. The experiment was carried out in 2015/2016 at Dois Vizinhos - PR, in a randomized block design with four replications. In the main plots were established corn hybrids (P1680YH and 30F53YH) and the subplots the different uses of corn (silage and grain). Under these treatments, soybean (TMG 7062 I PRO) was grown, featuring four treatments: T1: soybeans grown over corn silage P1680YH (season 1); T2 soybeans grown over corn silage 30F53YH (season 2); T3 soybeans grown over corn grain P1680YH (season 3); T4 soybeans grown over corn grain 30F53YH (season 4). Yield components of both cultures were evaluated. The productive arrangement corn crop for silage/soy as a second crop is viable for Paraná Southwest producers, but even after corn grain, soybean showed good potential. Corn hybrid 30F53YH showed higher productivity in relation to the P1630, both for silage and grain yield. When used for silage, shorter hybrids cycle allows soybean grown as a second summer crop, respecting the agricultural zoning. Soybean yield potential decreases as it sowing date delays.
