Estudo da qualidade dos óleos essenciais de eucalipto citriodora

Abstract

This study evaluates quality parameters of a standart sample extracted laboratory (named Ap) and five essential oils bought commercially (named B to F), The research objective was to prove through the analyzes that the oils are acquired according to the legislation specifications (ISO 3044 - 1997) and, by comparison, have not degraded. First the apparent parameters of packaging, flavor and consistency were analyzed. All samples presented as packaging as the legislative specification ISO 3044 - 1997. Continuing the appearance of analysis, it was noted that were differences at the samples odor. Beginning the physico- chemical tests, were carried out apparent density (g/ml) and refractive index (dimensionless). Having based on the ISO 3044 - 1997, the oils that were not in accordance with the apparent density specifications were D and E . As for the parameter refractive index, we had only sample E not compatible with the rules. Degradation analysis showed that all samples indicate a quality of the photochemical stability of the samples. Based on the tests performed it was noted the quality of the essential, however, are not sufficient to define that this is unfit for commercialization, since for it, is necessary a range of further analysis, opening up options for future work.
