Projeto de design editorial: caligrafia árabe

Abstract

This paper presents the development and production records of the book’s graphic editorial project: “ARABE CALIGRAPHY”, which aims to compile information about Arabic calligraphy and, consequently, to foster the study of this theme in design courses within the Federal Technological University of Paraná. For this, the design methodology of Burdeck (2006) was used apud Volnei Matté – The knowledge of the design practice of graphic designers as a basis for the development of printed teaching materials (2009). After a careful selection of texts on the subject, authors such as Hendel and Haslam were taken as reference for the result of the graphic material to contemplate its function as a source of knowledge and usability.
