dc.description.abstractEntrepreneurship, originating in reflection of the economic thinkers of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, has been gaining increasing prominence in the news. Today, entrepreneurship is seen as a major developer to local economic development. The development of entrepreneurial culture favors the emergence of new ventures and that if the opportunity can contribute to economic growth and improving income distribution and quality of life of a population. However, so there is an enabling environment for entrepreneurship are necessary actions and public policies committed by their managers in federal, state and municipal. The present study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Teaching of Entrepreneurship in the public schools of São José dos Campos and identify if there are changes in behavior and attitudes of students where the teaching occurs from elementary school until high school and technical and also to the public . The city of Sao Jose dos Campos, from the 1990s, has adopted programs to encourage entrepreneurship, especially in education. The city invests in entrepreneurial education in order to enable local entrepreneurs in search of opportunities and promote local development. The data source was two public schools, using to this end, interviews with teachers and coordinators of two local schools. This paper presents the Entrepreneurial Education Fernando Dolabela applied in municipal schools and the Center for Entrepreneurship was created to disseminate and meet the demands. This has produced good results, which was found in the Fair Young Entrepreneur Joseense that occurs every year where students from several schools, including municipal schools present their projects.
