Abstract

The erosion problems occurring in the Parana coast are mainly due to occupation of the coastal waves and storms. Submerged reefs are deployed near the beach so that thecoastal current and wave intensity are reduced. The aim of this study was to investigate the technical and economic feasibility of using structural precast concrete for construction of artificial reef as a device to reduce erosion and improve surfabilidade Praia BravaMatinhos - PR. The results showed that the use of these structures as a solution executive,are sufficient to solve the problem at a lower cost (22%) compared to the solution withshopping bags filled with sand. Beyond the concrete that makes up the solution, in itspresent composition suitable materials for the construction of structures very similar to thenatural bedrock.
