Percepção ambiental dos visitantes de parque ambiental localizado na cidade de Medianeira - Paraná

Abstract

This study aimed to verify the adopted visitation strategies and analyze the environmental awareness of visitors from private environmental park belonging to a company and slaughter swine slaughterhouse located in the municipality of Mediatrix, Paraná. To this end, we carried out data collection through interviews with the environmental management of the company and of a questionnaire to visitors, in addition to consulting the relevant literature to the study. It can be seen that the structure of the environmental park is suitable for visitors, which were represented by students of basic education, primary, secondary and higher, businessmen, elderly and associations. How to conduct the visit, there is a visitation script to assist the monitor, and the main points are related to the track, the viewpoints of artificial and natural waterfalls, and the existing mini hydroelectric plant in the park. Regarding the environmental awareness of visitors it was found that the main reason cited for such a visit was knowledge, and for visitors, the environmental park is considered a synonym of biodiversity and its importance is related to the preservation of native forest. Yet, what most caught the attention of visitors in relation to park structure wasthe fauna, flora and waterfalls. The results provide the basis for the development of environmental education strategies to be adopted for different public visitors.
