dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to determine how the issue is being worked on sustainability among children and adolescents in five state schools. Thus, through the research method of questionnaire containing eight questions, we analyzed several aspects related to sustainability as they are getting information from the government in relation to the events about sustainability, whether or not they are practicing sustainable actions, if there is spread sustainable habits, the importance of the sustainability issue for quality of life and if there is interdisciplinary or not in relation to the teaching of sustainability. The survey was conducted in Colleges Flávio Warken, Ipe Roxo, Monsenhor Guilherme, Dom Pedro II and the Barão do Rio Branco, in Foz do Iguaçu, state of Paraná, comprising 744 students, with 430 in the final grades of elementary school, 314 in middle school and 120 teachers. From the data obtained we can see that information on events sponsored by the government, do not come to school satisfactorily, which is already having spread of sustainable actions by children and adolescents, the sustainability issue is relevant to improving the quality of life; actions sustainable, in general, are performed, but you need to give more emphasis to the importance of some relatively new shares and that the views of students and teachers, on the occurrence of interdisciplinarity in relation to sustainability, are divergent. Therefore, we conclude that educate children and teenagers to sustainability through education, so that they disseminate the information society in the long run, seems an excellent choice, since there is a significant reform in education.
