Análise de Qualidade de Áudio Objetiva e Subjetiva em vários formatos digitais

Abstract

This paper presents a quality analysis of audio in different digital formats, in objective and subjective way. The objective analysis shows the differences between digital audios formats like WAV, MP3 and OGG, based on a specific software. The subjective analysis shows the differences found in auditions in a High-Fidelity reproduction system, with different groups of people, musicians and people who doesn’t relate with music area directly, also with WAV, MP3 and OGG formats. The paper provides basic theories about the audio and sound phenomena, theories about digital and analog audio, shows a history of analog/digital conversion process and the associated phenomena, also shows the history of each digital format analyzed. It presents conclusions with the results obtained with the analysis about digital audio form quality.
