dc.description.abstractThe present work is dedicated to the implementation of an active vibration control technique in a flexible cantilever beam using electromagnetic actuators. For the design and validation of the controllers, firstly, a structure was built and its dynamic behavior was characterized, getting the experimental Frequency Response Function. In order to simulate the structure behavior, the Beam Theory of Euler-Bernoulli was used for finite element modeling. The inverse problem technique together with the heuristic optimization method, differential evolution, were used in order to identify the unknown parameters structure, minimizing the difference between simulated and experimental FRF, allowing to obtain a representative model of the real system. From this model, the controller was designed using Fuzzy logic, and this controller is responsible for determining the control effort. Non-linear electromagnetic actuators are responsible for applying the controller’s efforts directly to the structure for system stabilization. Responses were analyzed in time domain and frequency domain. Finally, the methodology was validated applying the experimental control in the structure.
