dc.description.abstractThis work will present theoretically the intellectual and institutional factors that affect the discuss the dialogue existent between video games and the various discussions in art. In a first moment we will ask questions about the characteristics of game design as a form of expression, pointing some theoretical delimitations that helps us to understand the theme. In a second moment we will study how art institutions and museums are exploring video games. In a third moment we will show how the artists appropriate video games to create new works of art using a curious process of subversion of thecnology and its constituent parts.
