Abstract

This term paper presents a proposal for improvement in the pumping systems of a sugarcane plant by replacing couplings that impact on an improvement in the maintenance of the plant and then increase availability. The pump systems that had grid couplings were evaluated for calculations of selection to replace it for the tyre couplings. The replacement of these couplings was positive for the mechanical maintenance in the plant, reducing the maintenance duration, obtaining support from the maintainers and reducing expenses on replacement in case of coupling failures.
