dc.description.abstractThis paper deals with the automation of a pilot project for biological treatment system for air emissions addressing the benefits and features that automation brings to the project, such as online monitoring of monitored variables, the log of the indexes measured by the sensors and control of the equipment installed in accordance with the indexes previously determined by the researchers. It is also described the whole process of specification of automation equipment from the sensors to the controllers used, the methods of communication between the automation and control equipment installed along the process and the programming language applied to the controllers. It outlines about the equipments that were installed, the program performed and results obtained.
