Estudo sobre formulações cosméticas naturais e princípios ativos de origem natural encontrados no Brasil

Abstract

The demand for cosmetic products containing natural components in their formulation has been growing today. In its composition it can have vegetal extract, essential oil, fixed oils and vegetable butters. In the same way, there are several researches in the field of natural cosmetology in which the possible properties of natural active principles are studied, as well as the plants that are found in Brazil. The present work aims to direct the study on natural cosmetics, seeking to report on the raw materials and vehicles used in this segment, as well as the physical-chemical analysis and sensory analysis, although these are used for any type of cosmetic. It also seeks to highlight some plants used in cosmetic products that are found in Brazil and what properties they can offer to the cosmetic formulation. Initially, the history of cosmetics from the Egyptians to the present day was presented. Subsequently, it was described about cosmetics and raw materials used in natural formulation, describing each type, its actions and examples and in the same way it was presented about the vehicles of natural cosmetology. The analyzes used in natural cosmetic products have been described, being physical-chemical, sensory and microbiological analysis. In the sensorial analysis some studies were reported that used techniques in natural cosmetic products. Finally, some plants found in Brazil were reported, showing their origin and what properties they can offer to the natural cosmetic formulation.
