dc.description.abstractThe objective of this paper is to present solutions in layout for affordable housing, with the goal of improving the quality of life of residents. The work was motivated by the observation of the author of the alternatives created by residents who buy their furniture without much spatial sense. We searched: the history of public housing, class C, the furniture available in the market for housing minimum. To support the solution were used, principles of ergonomics, human factors and addressing space. Regarding the field research, interviews were made with some locals to understand the expectations and needs with respect to a physical arrangement possible, considering the space limitations. Were also surveyed plants apartments for sale, with physical arrangement suggested by the construction of housing minimum to detect their weaknesses and finally outlined alternatives that can give a North resident in choosing the furniture and space planning.
