When public services do not meet the social demand, Third Sector organizations try to meet these needs with voluntary services. The nature of this work creates a great challenge for the management of projects in such organizations. In this context, CASOL arises, a free Solidarity Training Project, created from a partnership between the Project Management Institute of Paraná (PMI-PR), the Superior Institute of Administration and Economy of Mercosur (ISAE) and the Volunteer Movement Curitiba (MVC), with the objective of helping Civil Social Organizations (CSOs) to improve their internal processes and projects based on knowledge in project management. The objective of this course conclusion work was to co-design CASOL 2021 based on observations and research of the experience of CASOL 2020, following three approaches that complement each other and share the principle of co-creation: the Metadesign of design processes, Service Design for the understanding and development of the journeys and the Design for Social Innovation that deals with social change. For this, it was necessary to map the service experience, developing visualization diagrams, starting with changing the roles of some stakeholders and the designer’s involvement within the project. Open and collaborative tools were proposed for the new edition of the program to support the team and participants. This codesign process allowed us to understand the mistakes and successes of the project. In addition to reflecting on the CASOL project, this research also reflects on the possibilities of the designer’s role in a collaborative project.
