dc.description.abstract | It’s clear the increase in the variety of products that require electricity to operate. Because of this, however, there is also a large increase in wires and cables spread over an electrical installation. In this sense, this work deals with a futuristic subject: the possibility of using wireless power transmission (WiTricity, in English, which refers to wireless electricity) to eliminate excess wires and cables in the circuits. Thus, it also reduces the risk of accidents due to electric shock caused by bare wires/cables or just because they are scattered along the way, besides reducing the visual pollution and improving up the aesthetics of the environment. It has been studied and built a wireless power transmission prototype, registering the distance observed between the coils in order to obtain a good wireless connectivity according to their respective diameters. Moreover, with the aid of computer simulations, it has proven possible to establish the voltage and current between two circuits, providing the required value at the output of wireless circuit, varying only the relative position between the coils, their diameters and the frequency of the primary circuit (circuit connected to the power supply). | |
