dc.description.abstractThe theater in elementary school is one way to work knowledge, because it there is the possibility of integrate human experience, express and create situations, conditions for learning new ethical, social, cultural, historical. The discipline Art of according with the National Curriculum should include the most diverse artistic manifestations such as visual arts, music, dance and theater. The history of each of these art forms is part of the content to be taught and learned in the classroom. This research had as theme the importance of working theater in the early grades of elementary school. The theater in the discipline can be related to the processes of imitation, symbolization game that happen in childhood, providing opportunities for students to learn creativity and dynamism in an attractive way.
