dc.description.abstractThe most commonly used control technique is proportional-integral-derivative (PID), however, tuning this controller can produce some overshoot which are unwanted in certain applications. Model-based predictive control is an advanced control technique that makes it possible to incorporate operative constraints into the controller design. This research project proposes the study, simulation and a novel approach of the generalized predictive controller , satisfying Lyapunov’s equations of stability, and analyze the effects on the robustness of the control design.
