This work presents the verification of using OpenFOAM software applied to supersonic velocity fluid flow over cones. Using three OpenFOAM solvers simulations are made to find the value of the frontal drag coefficient. To verify the solutions found by the solvers used the Taylor-Maccoll solution and the error estimators GCI and Richardson. The results that the three solvers find do not differ from the Taylor-Maccoll result by more than 0,069% and have the same accuracy for the estimators result. With the results found it is possible to say that for similar simulations and with accuracy equal to or lower than the ones in this work the rhoCentralFoam is the most suitable solver, but it also took longer.
