dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a computational model, elaborated with ANSYS Simulation Software, in the APDL and Workbench platforms, of a beam-column steel connection, by means of longitudinal fillet welds, requested by cyclic loads, focusing on its fatigue verification. The concepts of welding, steel connections, standardization, and fatigue are discussed. The model starts being analysed statically and proceeds with the determination of fatigue analysis parameters, approaching it according to stress cycles (S-N curve). As results, it presents the fatigue life, the safety factor and the sensitivity. | |
