dc.description.abstractSolar photovoltaic power plants are built from various components. The Operation and Maintenance of an electricity power plant is a key point for the proper performance of it. They are normally equipped with monitoring systems, being possible to do analysis for spotting failures, therefore, improving the maintenance process. In utility scale power plants, the procedure of noticing and finding faults can be difficult because of the dimensions of the sites. In this way, methods for the quick recognition of malfunctions are valuable for enabling quicker and more effective action of the maintenance teams. The data collected at the power plants create a great collection of information that, through data analysis, can be transformed into knowledge. Photovoltaic power plants are formed by many strings, generally equipped with sensors. The automatic process of strings analysis from a single power plant would reveal to be effective for defects identification. However, in the context of various power plants it is fundamental this type of analysis to be ran for each of them. Therefore, it is essential the development of an automatic process that do the analysis shown. This study aims to present how the automation task for string analysis was and could be done.
