Estudo e ajustes do relé digital para proteção em subestações de alta tensão

Abstract

The electric power system is extremely important and has a high complexity level; therefore, a proper protection system is essential, one that ensures the functionality and reliability of the system. With the goal of achieving the most appropriate protection system, it’s indispensable that a detailed study over the functionality and operability of the digital relays is made, taking into account that those are vital elements in a protection system. From this point of view, a research about the main equipments in a substation, as well as the main protection components, was developed, presenting its main characteristics and principles of operation. Furthermore, a study about a high voltage protection scheme was made, in which the parameters of the digital relays were adjusted with the intent of developing the protection system of a substation based on a real Copel substation.
