Análise da norma regulamentadora nº 12 e avaliação do nível de ruído e de iluminamento em uma máquina de soldagem por ultrassom do tipo prensa

Abstract

The Ministry of Labor’s regulatory standards, related to occupational safety and health, are mandatory for most of companies in Brazil. A study of work-related accidents carried out in the northern area of Sao Paulo city showed that presses are responsible for 15% of all accidents caused by machines, which are the scope of the NR-12 standard. The purpose of this monograph was to analyze the operation of an ultrasonic welding press, by understanding and applying occupational safety and health concepts. Therefore, a checklist was elaborated in order to evaluate the machine’s compliance according to the standard, and the levels of noise and illuminance were assessed. It was found that the noise level is above the exposure limit allowed by regulation. Moreover, recommendations were made to the company in relation to nonconforming aspects of the press. Lastly, it was recommended that the press operation should be forbidden, mainly until a safety system is implemented in the pressing area, such as enclosure and safety devices installation.
